Fishing Resort - Black and Blue Marlin Club
The
Black and Blue Marlin Club rests on lovely stretch of
land with direct access to the Pacific Ocean. It's a
community dedicated to those with an adventurous spirit,
an appreciation and love of nature, a desire to experience
hardcore fishing, a laidback attitude that enjoys peace
and quiet, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets and the
fellowship of sharing freshly caught local seafood cooked
and shared in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Club is the result of the vision
of four likeminded anglers, who shared these values
and passions. Their drive was to create an environment
that is family focused and shared by friends. One of
the owners, who's from the United States where coastal
architecture is popular for its nature- inspired yet
casually elegant style, designed the club’s cabinas,
restaurant and infinity pool.

There are 10 cabinas,
all of which are 800 square feet of functional, beautiful
space. With a tiled porch, interior floors and shower
and the use of local exotic wood (tropical hardwoods)
for the ceiling, stairway and trim, these cabinas provides
a cabin-like feel of comfort.
The Club’s restaurant has a fully stocked kitchen,
two open aired patio/deck levels of tiled floors, custom
iron hand railing and a metal roof encompassing a covered
area for taking breaks from the warm Panamanian sun
while still enjoying all the outdoors has to offer.
The fully stocked kitchen provides two stovetops/ovens,
a large refrigerator, a freezer, two kitchen sinks,
shelving and storage. Cookware, utensils, plates and
glasses along with cleaning and cooking supplies are
available for the owners and their guests. There is
a stainless steel grill for outdoor grilling next the
quaint tables and chairs that allow for intimate and/or
group dining. There are two bathrooms at the back of
the restaurant that are easily accessed by covered,
tile walkways. The kitchen and its patios and decks
open up to a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean waterway/estuary
and the neighboring island of Isla Boca Brava. Every
morning and every evening there is an opportunity to
enjoy the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that cascade
over the property.
The restaurant’s kitchen, decks and patios all
have access to and overlook the terracing river stone
path to the club’s infinity pool, where you can
sit and enjoy sunbathing, a cocktail before dinner,
a cool, refreshing swim after a long, hot day of adventuring
or to just sit and read a book while enjoying the sights
and sounds of the surrounding nature. The pool’s
infinity edge cascades over a beautifully tiled front
edge which flows into a shallow, child-friendly smaller
pool with built in seating.
The Club’s property is surrounded on either
side by rolling, tropical pastures where the local brama
and horses are lazily grazing or sitting in the shade
of a lush Nancy tree. This creates a serene sense of
privacy and quiet. Two of the Club’s owners own
one of these adjacent properties, 12 hectares in size,
for those possibly interested in purchasing more land
with water access and local foliage.
Other activities accessible to the Club’s property
are deep sea fishing,
surfing, picnicing at a nearby islands and beaches,
nature walks and hiking, bird watching, whale watching,
horseback riding or dining at local restaurants in Boca
Chica or on the neighboring island of Boca Brava. Just
by walking to the marina in the town of Boca Chica,
where the local fisherman bring in their catch of the
day, you can inexpensively take a panga taxi the 5 minute
boat ride to Boca Brava or higher a them for the half
day or day to be taken to a local beach or island resort.
